Pretty Little Liars Recap - "Game On, Charles " (S06E01)

This episode was insane.

It begins by showing an unknown blonde girl drawing with chalk on the wall of what looks like a dungeon in the doll house wearing the infamous yellow tank top. She hears the Liars making their escape and we find them outside. A/Charles leaves them outside for days without food or water and even in the pouring rain. The girls are doing everything they can to stay positive and support one another, but it's clear they are afraid.

The girls are finally invited back inside. In the hallway they are all knocked out. Aria and the other girls awake on tables in what looks like a morgue. They are all naked and covered only by a sheet. They fear that Charles is making them appear dead to send a message to their families so they stop looking for them. Mona comes in dressed as a candy striper and acting like Ali again. She gives each of the girls something to take for their headaches. She shares that she is scared Charles will throw her in the hole for trying to escape. A message plays asking them to return to their rooms and Mona refuses. A bell dings 3 times and she folds saying they have to go "or else." They stand outside of their rooms and enter one by one- each one screaming when they enter. They don't come out for 3 weeks and when they do they are visibly shaken. Aria even has the pink stripes in her hair like she had when Ali went missing. They wonder where Mona is.  We find out she is in the hole and terrified.

Ali holds a press conference and we find out that all charges against her for Mona's murder have been dropped and Andrew is the prime suspect but he has vanished. Ali begs for Andrew to come forward and for her friends to be freed. When she returns to the house, we find out she is working with the police in hopes of drawing Andrew out of hiding. She gets a call from an unknown number and it's playing a song. They track the call and find out the caller is in the house so the police go to find them. They return and Ali is gone, and there is a broken wine bottle. We find out that Caleb and Ezra called, and she is working with them and Toby to find the girls. Toby distracts the police by leading them too the Campbell Apple Farm.

Ali is contacted by A so the guys let her go into the woods after Caleb gives her a pair of boots with a tracker in them. Ali is lead to a car, she gets in it and the GPS tells her where to go. The guys follow and aren't far behind. She is told to pull over on the side of the road and to check the trunk. She finds a card telling her to change clothes or the girls will die. When Caleb and Ezra arrive, they find the car and Ali's clothes along with her boots pointing them in the right direction. Ali wanders through the woods in the infamous yellow top.

The girls are finally out of their rooms and are clearly very shaken but they band together. They are taken to Ali's room and they realize that Ali A is probably bringing the real Alison. They are putting away things in Ali's room and see news articles in the box and wonder if they are even real. Hanna finds out her mom was hospitalized because she was so worried about Hanna. Aria is putting clothes away and at the back of the closet she sees a message from Mona carved into the wall saying A is going to kill her. Aria gets Spencer to help her and shows her the message. They start plotting to get out.

The night when the generator switches off the girls all run to Charles' secret room and Spencer shows them the video. The girls look around and end up setting the room on fire. Charles is watching and sees Ali in the woods and the fire in the room. He panics. They pull the curtains down and see A/Charles standing behind a plexi-glass wall watching (he's of course in a mask still). They run and find Mona in the hole and work together to get her out.

The boys find Ali in the woods and get ready to leave until Ali hears something. She turns around and they see smoke coming from the ground which leads them to the door. They call the police and break into the dollhouse as the girls are running out. Everyone embraces and it is a tearjerker. Haleb, Ezria, Spoby, and Emison are so sweet. The police explore the dollhouse and find the girl we see at the beginning of the episode and find out she is Sarah Harvey, the girl who went missing around the same time Ali did and Emily met with her friends. She had been there this entire time.

Once Upon A Time Recap - "Best Laid Plans" (S01E17)

Well now we know exactly what Snow and Charming did to Maleficient's baby. They track down a unicorn and touch it's horn, because according to legend it will give you a vision. They both see their baby's future but they see it differently. Charming sees a sweet little baby. Snow however sees a teenage Emma who rips her heart out and when Snow says "I'm you're mother, 'Emma' responds with "I don't care." Of course Snow is terrified and they decide they need to do something. On their way home, Snow and Charming cross paths with a peddler who needs some help with his wagon. Charming helps him and gives him some brandy because he is cold. The peddler asks which way they are going and when they say west he tells them that Maleficent has taken over and made a nest in a cave where she has laid an egg. He advises they go east and follow the path to an old man's cottage. The Charmings take his advice.

Regina, Henry, and Emma take August to the Blue Fairy when he passes out. They are all worried for him. Regina says she needs to get back to Gold with the page, so Emma makes a replica. Regina says he'll see right through that so she takes a picture of the page because the villains are only looking for the door- they don't know the Author is inside the page. Regina takes a picture and returns to Gold, Cruella, and Maleficent. She claims Emma put a protection spell on the page and she was almost caught trying to break it so she took a picture. The glare in the picture tells Rumple that the Author is in the page. He tells Regina she has to get it.

Emma and Killian talk and he is jealous of her relationship with August. She insists that they're just friends. She brings up Lily, the friend in the video she showed him, and tells him that she was her first friend and after she shut Lily out, August was the first person to get back in as a friend. She's not very good at making them. They look out the window and are put under a sleeping curse. The entire town is in fact. The only people who aren't affected are Gold, Mal, Cruella, Regina, Henry, Snow, and Charming- the latter 3 because they have been under sleeping curses before so they're immune (in that case, where the hell was Aurora?!). Henry flees to the Sorcerer's mansion while the Villains search the Charming's apartment for the book. As they walk, Mal tells Gold they are going to make a new deal. She knows he needs her, and Cruella and Ursala were just a means to bringing her back. She demands to know what happened to her child and Gold agrees if she gets the page. Regina scolds Cruella for remarking that she'd like to wring Emma's neck which causes Gold to doubt her. He tells her the book isn't there and to get it from Henry.

Snow and Charming come across the cottage where the old man (the Sorcerer) is waiting for them. He knows of their troubles and invites them in to have tea. They tell him about their different visions and he tells them it's because a child is a blank slate and can go either way based on how they are guided. Snow doesn't think this is enough and wants to make sure their child is good. The Sorcerer says there is a spell that he can do, but it is very costly and can never be undone. He could take their child's evil and put it into an empty vessel making the child pure of intent and good. Snow and Charming talk it over and decide they couldn't do that to a child, but they could do it to Mal's egg who would probably turn out just like her (sidenote-  if that were true then they shouldn't have had anything to worry about with their own baby). They find Mal's cave and steal her egg while Mal begs and pleads with them not to. Snow promises to bring the egg back.

Henry calls Snow and Charming and tells them where he is going. They tell him not to worry and they're on their way. David tells Mary Margaret that it would solve their problems if they destroy the page, even though the Author is inside. Mary Margaret worries about what would happen to Regina's happy ending. Henry hides in the mansion and a light shines out from the door on the page. The light shines on a desk drawer so Henry opens it and finds a key. He stuffs it in his pocket as Regina walks in. She tells him she needs the page as Mal and Cruella walk in as well. She warns them not to lay a hand on her son and they insist they won't if he cooperates. Regina tells him to give her the page and she gives him a look. Henry reluctantly hands it over and watches as they leave.

Snow and Charming bring Mal's egg to the Sorcerer. He makes sure they're ready and then performs the spell. When the spell is being done, they realize that the egg will be sent somewhere else. When they confront the Sorcerer, he tells them that it has to be sent to a place where it can't hurt people. As this is happen, the egg begins to crack and a baby's hand reaches out. Snow is horrified as they realize that there is a baby in the egg. Cruella and Ursala show up and try to get the egg for Mal, but they fall through the portal followed by the egg.

Gold goes into his shop and moves a passed out Belle to a bed. He tells her he loves her and he is trying to change the rules so he can repay the debt he racked up with all of his magic. He tells her he'll be back for her if he can. The Queens arrive outside of the shop and Regina gives Gold the page. He instantly knows it's fake and rips it up. He says he has been waiting for this time to come. Mal puts her under the sleeping spell. When David and Mary Margaret arrive, Henry tells his grandparents what happened and that he gave his mom the forged page. They are proud of him. He shows them the key, and goes to unlock the door but David makes him stop. He lies and says they will take care of it and it's too dangerous for Henry. After yelling at Henry, the boy leaves and David prepares to burn the page until Mary Margaret stops him. She reminds him that they are heroes and they have to do what is right, not what is easy. They have to tell Emma the truth so they don't let their lies push her to the dark side.

Snow watches Sneezy put up a beautiful glass mobile of unicorns over Emma's crib and she is upset. Charming comforts her and reminds her that they have to accept what they did and move past it so they can raise Emma to be good- which is the whole reason they've done all of this. Snow agrees and they embrace.

After finding out the truth from her parents, Emma is furious. She tries to leave and Snow tries to stop her saying "I'm your mother!" and Emma looks at her coldly and replies, "I don't care." She sits by the water until Killian finds her. She knows her parents sent him, but she doesn't care. He holds her and comforts her before telling her that her friend August is awake. She goes to see him.

Gold and the Queens take Regina to her lair and Mal insists he tells her what happened to her child- that she has earned the right to know. Gold agrees that she has, but warns her it could cause her more pain. She says she needs to know anyways. He warns her that what he is going to show her was from 30 years ago, so things have changed. He shows her an image of an infant baby girl as she's being adopted. Her father names her Lily. Mal is over joyed and teary eyes as she exclaims that she had a daughter who is alive and in this world. She swears she will find her. (notice this is the Lily that Emma met as a teenager and who was her only best friend).

Emma rushes in to see August and finds her parents there as well. August senses the tension but no one talks about it. She tells him that they can free the Author and August warns her that it might not be a good idea. He says that the Sorcerer and his Apprentice have always chosen the Author to watch and record the greatest stories that have ever happened, but this Author began manipulating the stories (it's cut to the Sorcerer scolding the Author from behind about making him perform the spell on that poor baby. The Author calmly replies that it makes for a better story and the Sorcerer says he isn't fit to do this job and responsibility) so the Sorcerer imprisoned him in the page. Emma decides to let him out so she unlocks the door and out comes the peddler. It takes a minute but Snow and Charming recognize him. Emma tells him she has questions and he says she probably does before he runs off leaving them confused.

**sidenote: when August was explaining to Emma that Authors have been recording stories for eons and it's a very important job. He goes through a quick timeline of stories/authors and mentions Walt aka Walt Disney.

Chasing Life Recap - "One Day" (S01E21)

April's cancer is back.

Of course that isn't much of a shock, but it was still pretty devastating. April recieved the news from Dr. H. who told of her she has to start chemo the following morning. April protests saying she needs more time to let work know and Dr. H. tells her that her cancer is a lot more aggressive than last time so has to start chemo ASAP or she only has 2-6 weeks to live. (Cue the tears) April needs a bone marrow transplant (thank God for Natalie) after chemo. April is upset about this but she holds herself together pretty well. She just calmly and sadly takes it in. She calls Leo immediately and heads home.

April shares the news with Brenna and Emma who are both upset. April insists it will be fine and asks for their help in getting ready for tomorrow. Brenna offers to miss school and her appointment with Dr. H. so she can help April with whatever she needs, but April wants her to live as normally as possible.

She calls her mom to let her know what is going on and interrupts Sara's reunion with George. He was just introducing her to his female colleague (whom Sara had seen him kissing the night before but was pretending she's seen nothing). Sara is obviously worried and so is George who takes her to the airport. He pulls her to the front of the line and informs the woman who is there and complaining about them cutting that Sara's daughter is starting chemo tomorrow and she needs to get to Boston. The woman graciously steps aside and the attendant regretfully tells Sara and George that he doesn't have any flights to Boston that day but through a connecting flight she can be there by midnight. She agrees and George says to make it 2 tickets. Yup George is coming home!

April tells Beth the news and they try to make it like its no big deal. April feels bad about Bernuda and Beth doesn't care one bit. April shares that she's afraid she won't have a wedding of her own and she fed bad that she'll miss the trip, Brenna'a 17th birthday, and Thanksgiving while in the hospital. Beth tells her not to worry about it.

April heads to work to tell Raquel about the chemo but before she can get into her office, Paul angrily busts out yelling about how they laid him off. April finds out its 'Black Tuesday' and a guy brought in by HR is screening all of the employees along with Raquel and laying off the ones who aren't absolutely necessary. Dom makes it through safely and when April goes in for her turn she's scared. She tells them that she won't be able to come back in tomorrow to find out their answer because she will be in the hospital for chemo. She tells Raquel that her cancer is back and she has to take another medical leave for treatment but she assures both of them that she loves her job and she wants to keep it. She leaves and heads to see Beth.

We meet a new guy, Finn I think, who is 16/17 and clearly has cancer. He and his family are meeting with his doctor who tells him that they have found a donor who looks like they'd be a match for him. Everyone is excited and his little brothers are fighting in the back. His parents are clearly very stressed and he is embarrassed. The doctor says the donor still has to undergo more testing and Finn has to get ready with more chemo. When they find out how much the transplant will cost, his parents look very concerned but they're obviously not going to say no.

Brenna goes to her appointment with Natalie and Dr. H. and she is asked if she has had any surgeries or procedures in the last 2 years. Brenna looks nervous as she quietly admits that she has an abortion 2 years ago. Natalie smiles reassuringly and promises no judgement is coming from her and Dr. H. assures her that doesn't count so she is so far so good.

George and Sara wait in between flights and talk. George says that he missed the girls and everybody really. He asks Sara if she's in a relationship and she laughs and shares that she sort of was but then she found out he was married. George playfully remind she's that the man she dated from the Internet was married to. Sara asks George if he is seeing anyone and she assures him that he can tell her if he is. She then asks if he is seeing the colleague and he admits that he is. He laments that they broke up to find easier relationships and they both ended up in complicated ones.

We go back to Finn who is getting chemo or sown sort of treatment. He and the make nurse talk and he comments on a video of Finn running a race, not realizing it was Finn. Finn shares that he wants to get back to that and he has a donor now.

April joins Beth on a boat as they pretend they're in Bermuda. They snack and talk and April shares how nervous she is about losing her job. They get kicked off the boat by a security guard. Afterwards, April meets up with Brenna so they can celebrate her 17th birthday together over a cupcake. Brenna shares that she never told April this but her being away in the hospital was really hard on her last time and she used to cry and feel like an only child and she hated it. She wants April to be ok and April promises her that she's "not Lois Lane, she's Super Girl." The girls get a call from their mom and they're excited that George is coming back. Sara and April talk and George is impressed at how Sara is handling everything.

April goes to see Leo and they sleep together. She asks him to meet her at her house for the impromptu Thanksgiving dinner and says she has an errand to run. She goes to Natalie's work and Natalie apologizes for not calling and asks if they're ok. April says that she isn't going to get in the way of Natalie and Dom but it's clear she isn't ok with that relationship. Natalie doesn't know how to react. April tearfully asks her to be the big sister Brenna needs while she's in the hospital and in case anything goes wrong. Natalie promises she will be and its such a tearjerker.

Sara and George continue hanging out in the airport until it's announced that their flight is cancelled. Back at the house, Emma and Brenna serve the terrible Thanksgiving dinner that they tried to cook and it's so sweet. Beth is there with them as well. Everything is good until they get the call from Sara saying the flight got cancelled. To make matters worse, April gets a house call from Raquel.

Raquel tells her that it has come down to her and Danny and given the enthusiasm Danny has shown Raquel has recommended that April get laid off. She also tells April that the HR guy said if April laid off, she would have grounds for a law suit because of her condition- so April will keep her job by default. April feels terrible that her cancer will cost Danny his job, so she quits even though it's the only thing she's ever wanted to do in life.

The next day, April meets with Dr. H. As they prepare for her hospital stay and April has a "whatever happens happens" attitude which Dr. H. Isn't happy about. She says that if this is April's attitude then she has already lost half the battle. Before getting her port put in, Dr. H. takes her to dilapidated room and tries to get April to let out her anger. Finally April starts yelling at Dr. H. about how angry she is that this wasn't caught sooner especially because April went to her weeks ago thinking something was wrong (Dr. H. maintains that April was still healthy then) and April begins smashing the walls and destroying this demolition room with a sledgehammer. She shares that she feels stupid for thinking she had actually beaten her cancer.

Once she's smashed out her anger and gotten her IV situation taken care of, she takes a walk in the hall. This is where Sara and George appear. April and her mom practically run to each other and hug each other. Sara says she'll never leave April again and April laughs and begs her not to take it to the extreme. She is also glad to see George.

Back in her room, she hangs out with Leo and marriage is jokingly brought up. April continues to try to pick a TV show to binge watch while Leo asks her to marry him. She thinks he's kidding and he explains that they've never been a normal couple so why act normal now. He gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him.....and she says YES!

Chasing Life Recap - "No News Is Bad News" (S01E20)

April and Danny become competitive at work after Raquel is named the new Editor in Chief of the paper. The friends battle it out and turn on each other as April feels the pressure to be the "old April" who's main prioity in life was her job. She misses spending time with Leo's family just so she can work on a story.

Beth is distressed about her breakup and has drinks with April and Leo to vent about it. April surprises her by telling her she got a great deal on a trip to Bermuda and she's taking Beth with her in 2 weeks. Later when April can't come be by her side for a nervous breakdown, Beth calls Leo who talks with her while they get pedicures (it was endearing and hilarious).

Sara and Emma work on cleaning out Thomas' storage locker and Sara finds a set of George's books. Sara said she didn't like the relationship only because she didn't think Sara was in a good place, but she seems lighter now. Sara also finds children's books that are inscribed to Natalie. She decides to invite Natalie to the locker and see if she'd like to go through it as well. Natalie comes over to help Sara and they try and make the situation normal and get along.

Natalie and Dominic decide they have to tell April that they're seeing each other and they decide Natalie should do it, so she invites April for drinks.

Greer finds out her parents are getting divorced and her father is moving in to their Nantucket house so unless she stays with her mother, she has to move. Brenna offers for her to live with them but Sara says she has to think about it. April notes that Greer doesn't seem opposed to living with her dad, so Brenna lies and says that Sara said Greer couldn't stay. Brenna also finds out from Dr. H. that she is a bone marrow match for someone who needs a transplant and asks if she would donate- she tells her it's a lot to think about so don't make a rush decision.

Leo goes to visit April at work and brings her something to eat which is really sweet. She decides to leave at 7:30 which Raquel is not happy about. Before Natalie and April even get to drinks, Natalie blurts out that she and Dom are together. April assumes they're just hooking up and Natalie is offended that she'd think that's all she is good for. Natalie leaves and April invites Danny to have drinks and they bury the hatchet and go back to being friends.

Sara flies to Cleveland to surprise George at a seminar where he is giving a talk. She's really excited to see her "friend", until she sees him kissing a woman in the hotel bar. She's really hurt and slips away before he sees her.

Greer and Brenna say goodbye and Greer presents her with a table tennis set since they first bonded by playing tennis. It was such a sweet moment.

Dr. H. is about to leave the hospital when one of the nurses hands her April's file. She reads it and breaks down before calling April and leaving a message asking her to come in the morning for a follow up. She asks the nurse to make sure there is a hospital bed available.

Pretty Little Liars Recap "The Melody Lingers On" (S05E24)

What a stressful episode! Ali's trial begins this week and Mrs. Hastings advises that none of the girls attend. She tells Spencer she isn't allowed to go and advises Aria and Emily follow her lead. Ashley decides she is going to Ali's trial despite Pastor Ted and Hanna telling her not too.

Aria has a weird encounter with Andrew where he basically makes it sound like he's glad Mona is dead which makes Aria uncomfortable, but she shrugs it off. Emily gets a phone call from Ali and they apologize to one another, and Ali asks Emily if it's raining- which it is. Then it flashes to Ali getting ready for her trial.

In the Prosecution's opening statements reveal that Ali's entire story about being kidnapped was a lie (he also mentions that Mona met a cruel and ANONYMOUS end) and the girls knew about it. Needless to say, this takes everyone by surprise. After court adjourns for the day, Emily and Aria call Spencer and tell her about what happened. As they tell her, Mr. DiLaurentis yells at them and accuses them of making Ali lie to the police. Jason stands up for them and says she lied to them too. The girls wonder who else but Cyrus and Mona knew that Ali was lying.

Ali reveals to Hanna that the number in the ad is real even though the password isn't. She says that she saw one after her mother died and responded with one of her own. Then another one appeared, and she texted the number. She thought the person was Mona because the messages stopped when Mona died. Hanna realizes she was texting and never even mentioned it to them.

Caleb visits Hanna and she insists he get out and save himself. She tells him she'll be ok if she knows he's safe. She insists that no one would ever believe their story because it is so insane and she doesn't even believe it and she's living it. The liars and Caleb send a message from a burner phone to Varjack's number. Later on, Aria gets a phone call and Caleb answers it. It's a French song from Edith Piaf and it's creepy. They play it for Hanna who recognizes it from Mona. Aria volunteers to talk to Mrs. Vanderwaal after they decide that Mona probably left more clues in her room that the police didn't find. Emily takes her and Spencer stays behind with Caleb who hilariously compares the group of liars to a group of Vikings, noting how they ferociously take care of one another.  Spencer comments on how great of boyfriend Caleb is and is glad that Toby warned them.

Spencer is told off by Mr. D. and ignored by Jason. She wants to apologize because she knows Ali is innocent. Spencer tries to apologize one more time to Jason and explains that she is only comfortable when she is certain and she bases her moral compass on being certain and she alludes that A had that figured out, that's why she's framed. She tells her mom she is going to the trial anyways and Mrs. H. forbids her. Spencer says she'd rather have people talk about her in front of her than behind her back and she goes with the girls to support Ali.

Jason takes the stand and begins changing his story saying he doesn't think Ali did it so the prosecutor suggests he is changing his story because of his affair with Ashley Marin. He denies it and afterward Ashley tells Ted to leave. She loves him but doesn't think them being together is practical and doesn't believe in clean slates. He isn't going without a fight.

The girls head to Mona's house and are about to leave when they hear the song coming from Mona's room through an open window. They sneak in the house and head upstairs finding Mona's room torn apart and her dolls beheaded. They find a note from A and decide it's a trick. They don't think A found anything in Mona's room so they try to think like Mona. Spencer finds a riddle in Mona's mirror. Andrew sees their car outside Mona's house where he is lurking creepily and as they leave, a tool and broken window are shown.

Andrew runs into Aria at the New Brew and apologizes for his earlier comments about Mona. Aria acts fine, until he kisses her cheek and she offers to text him later. The girls are desperate to solve Mona's riddle. Meanwhile, Hanna and Ashley have a heart to heart and Hanna reassures her that she will be ok, and maybe she'll right a book in prison.

Emily decides to listen to the secrets messages and hears the song play. Also, A starts shredding documents, including a social security card for "Paul Varjack." A dumps the shredded paper into Tippy's cage. (yes Tippy the bird is back!)

Chasing Life Recap - "Model Behavior" (S01E17)

The episode starts with April being refused service at a coffee kiosk because of her article about Richie Miranda. She realizes that half of Boston hates her because of this story and that Miranda has to go through a drug test. Once she gets to work she finds out that Richie claims she is lying and denies doing drugs. This is all announced on Good Morning America, and April realizes that this situation is about to get ugly.

April goes to visit Beth at work where Beth complains about being the 2nd assistant and only doing things like taking care of her boss' drying cleaning and cleaning her car. She wants to do more for the fashion party that her boss is throwing to showcase her designs. Beth is upset that she is only responsible for the food for the party.

Brenna and Greer hang out, and Greer gives her an expensive purse and tells her that she still isn't taking her medication. Brenna feels weird about accepting such an expensive (and gorgeous) gift. Meanwhile, April has to meet with Ms. Callahan aka the publisher of the newspaper. She finds out that Aaron has been fired and Ms. Callahan is considering firing her too. April volunteers to go on national television and defend her story. Ms. Callahan agrees to this and April panics. Danny suggests she ask Raquel for help.

At Sara's office, she gets invited to go to a speech at Harvard University by her office mate. It is the MOST awkward encounter ever. It's hard to tell whether or not she's being asked out on a date or what. And her response is equally as awkward which is hilarious in a painful kind of way.

Grandma Emma messes with April about her story and won't talk much about her reunion. Sara wants to know how it was and becomes concerned when Emma claims to forget most of what they did. Beth and April hang out and Beth shares that the designer's 1st assistant was fired so she wants to step up and prove that she can handle the responsibility. She shares that she needs teenage models and April suggests they ask Brenna. With a little convincing, Brenna agrees and says she will ask Greer.

Sara finds out that Emma has a boyfriend and she didn't say anything because she didn't want to seem insensitive. She encourages Sara to live in the moment and see where it takes her.

The designer loves Brenna and Greer, and asks Greer to wear her favorite piece. Beth realizes that she forgot to put a menu together for the event.

April works with Raquel who drills her and tells her what not to do during the interview. April is trying desperately to keep Leo out of it. She heads over to Beth's work event to help her.

Beth's boyfriend Graham comes through and takes care of the food. In her gratitude, she accidentally says that she loves him which he is thrilled about. April checks on Brenna and Greer and realizes Greer gave Brenna the purse and she sees Brenna reject Greer's advances which sends Greer over the edge and she accidentally rips her dress. The designer freaks out and Beth promises to fix it-which she does. April is worried about Greer and Brenna and Brenna tells her that Greer quit taking her medicine which concerns April. Brenna comes back with saying she's not giving up on someone she cares about the second they start having problems.

Beth gets promoted and the event is a success. Greer apologizes and Brenna says that she wants to help her as a friend for now. Greer suggests that she'll start taking her medicine again.

In the morning, April apologizes to Brenna who reminds her that she beat cancer- she can sure as hell beat this interview. April ignores a call from Leo right before the interview and she nails it. She also apologizes to Richie and she encourages him to face his illness head on. Afterwards, she goes tot he bathroom and is horrified when she gets a nosebleed. She finds out from Dom that Miranda just got a DUI so her story is confirmed. She looks up at him when he asks what's wrong and she confesses that she thinks her cancer is coming back and he hugs her.

Book Review - "Autumn Falls" by Bella Thorne

This book was kind of a surprise to me. I saw it in Books-A-Million and I was drawn to the cover (it sparkles) so I bought it on a whim. After I bought it, I regretted it and almost took it back. My laziness, however, made sure that didn't happen and I figured I should at least give it a chance.

**SPOILER ALERT** Skip to the end if you don't want the book to be spoiled for you ;)

The book starts off with a twist. Autumn is cooking a meal for her father who is returning home from a business trip. She is attempting to make up with him after a big fight they've had about him moving the family to Florida to be closer to his mother. As the Falls family gets ready to leave for the airport, Mrs. F. gets a phone call and finds out her husband has been in an accident.

Flash foward and we find out that Autumn's father died in a car accident and her mother forced them to go through with the move anyways. Autumn is less than pleased about living in Florida and having to switch schools. She makes a friend, JJ on the way to school on her first day which is of course a relief for her. She embarrasses herself in homeroom by being a klutz and I strangely liked this. Clearly Autumn is not perfect. She's not some flawless girl who glides through life and let's everyone else fight for her. She's realistic. A cute guy in her homeroom, Sean, is kind enough to help her and is the only one there who is nice to her. Autumn makes friends with JJ's friends and things are looking up.

Unfortunately for Autumn, the attention she is getting from Sean makes her the number 1 enemy of the school's queen bee who was now determined to ruin her life. Autumn goes to visit her "crazy" grandma who gives her a "magical" journal which was a gift from her late father. Supposedly anything she wished for in it would come true- unless it just couldn't (like bringing someone back from the dead). She realizes soon enough that there is purpose for using the journal.

Personally I was nervous about the aspect of a magical journal, but it wasn't insane. Unicorns weren't running around town and crazy stuff wasn't happening. Autumn wasn't even sure for most of the book that the journal was magic. Almost everything it did could be explained as coincidence. I just like that it wasn't overly used. I like that there was a little bit of romance but it was completely believable for high schoolers. It's not like "oh I've found the love of my life who I'll be with forever," like in a lot of books. I also like that her love life is a mess. I mean what high school girls' isn't? I think some of the bullying was exaggerated and the fact that the queen bee would go through all of the trouble to make that website seems a little far fetched, but what do I know? But boy were these kids so mean to this girl when they just met her. Who does that?! It was kind of infuriating.

Also, I know Bella Thorne is dyslexic and I am really glad that Autumn is too. I think this is such a good forum for being open about dyslexia and encouraging those who have it and informing those who don't. I was really happy about that.

Overall, I think this book was a good read. It kept me interested and it was fairly fast paced. It ends in a way where there is closure, but there is also an opening for it to continue (which I hope it does). I'd really like to hear more from Autumn and her crazy group of friends.

I give it 4 stars and look forward to more from Bella Thorne.
